Painting every (other) day

In the summer, I do a lot of paintings by porchlight. I paint on the back porch at night, after my daughters are asleep, when the house is still. Sometimes my wife and the dogs keep me company, but usually it's just me, my oil paints, and one 5" x 5" canvas.

I'm inspired by artists like Duane Keiser, who start—and finish—a small painting every day. I can't give up my day job yet, and between work and my dear family, there's precious little free time. But I love to paint, and I can't think of a better way to spend those quiet late-night hours. So I'm going to try for a painting every other day. If you like what you see here, I hope you'll consider acquiring one of my porchlight paintings. And if you know someone who might like what I'm up to here, please do send them my way.

I'd say that I'd leave the porch light on for you, but I think Motel 6 beat me to that a few years back.
