Art About Town

Last night hundreds of people took part in a marvelous project on Holden Street in downtown North Adams. With fearless and inspired leadership by Sidewalk Sam, Gail and Phil Sellers and countless other local artists, we transformed the street into a giant Matisse painting. This one will only last a few days, but the hope is to do another painting next summer that will be more permanent. Enjoy!

Good Morning Sunshine

It was so lovely and cool this morning, I grabbed my watercolors as I was headed out the door and spent an hour under a tree in Williamstown taking in the sunny scenery.

dirt on paper/charcoal love

A quick little study/demo from the other day. I like how expressive charcoal can be in just a few strokes and some wipe-outs.
