Managed a couple of hours yesterday to scoot into the woods and paint the shadow patterns. 12 x 9.5, oil on board.

Beautiful spring day today. Spent a couple of hours on a little color study of a hill-side meadow on Mount Greylock. Oil on board, 6 x 8.

Willow Tree Study

Friday was one of those persistently overcast, drizzly days. A good day to sketch, though. This is the center part of an enormous willow tree, still bare from winter.
