Thanks, Rebecca, Lia. I owe much to the week I spent with instruction from Dan Thompson. He really gave me some solid technique to work on. These short poses are great for trying to get the gesture down quick -- since there's no time to get finicky, the marks have to remain loose, expressive, and movable, so it gives the sketch a kind of stylishness that I quite like.
